Abstract:Abstract : Research purposes : The composite steel plate bridge can gen erate larger structure - borne noise which cannot be reduced by conventional sound barier due to the larger area of steel structural component of the bridge. In order to reduce the structure - borne noise,the frequency and space distribution characteristic,and the contribution of the steel subsystem should be considered firstly. So,the characteristics of structure - borne noise of the composite steel plate bridge were obtained based on the statistical energy analysis method. Research conclusions :( 1) The structure - borne noise is mainly in 125 ~ 1 250 Hz called medium and high frequency bands. (2) Based on results of typical sound field sites,the web of steel girder is the main noise source,of which the radiation contribution rate is more than 50% . ( 3 ) The decay speed of the structure - borne noise near the ground becomes slowwith the incensement of the distance from the bridge. (4 ) The research results can provide important technical guidance for the structure - borne noise control of railway composite steel plate bridge.
