Abstract:Research purposes:With the improvement of the railway network,the projects that the highway crosses over or under - pass the railway are gradually increasing. As the railway has a strict requirement for the track regularity,the disturbance and displacement of railway bridge foundation caused by the foundation pit excavation should be fully considered and limited to a small range when the pile caps of the bridge crossing over railway or the frame under-passing railway is adjacent to the railway in order to reduce the influence on the railway safety and comfort.
Research conclusions:Taking the interchange overpass of Xibaipuo highway project as an example,the excavation process of the pile cap was simulated by using ABAQUS general finite element software and the displacement of the existed railway bridge foundation induced by foundation pit excavation was analyzed to find out the displacement of the adjacent railway bridge foundation caused by the construction of fender pile and excavation of the foundation pit.The analysis results showed that the foundation pit excavation had tiny influence on the existed railway bridge and the maximum displacement of the railway foundation was less than 2 mm. The design of fender pile met the demands of the railway operation safety.
