Abstract：Based on the analy ses on the v ehicle f low s of the Xi′an Railw ay Terminal and thei r passage w ay s, a nd combined w ith th e Xi′an urba n planning , the follow ing problems w hich are co ncer ned wi th in the Genera l Lay out Planning of the Xi′a n Terminal are discussed in this paper, such as: the leading-in schemes o f the new railw ay lines, th e selection of the posi tio ns o f the south a nd the no rth ci rcular railw ay lines, the selection of the po sitio n o f the second passeng er sta tion, dev elo ping the ro le of the thi rd railw ay line betw een Hua ng jia zhai and Xianya ng , etc. The autho r′s co nceptio ns are also pro posed, and they are valuable fo r reference.
