Abstract:Research purposes: The safety reliability and normal age of the bridge girder erecting machine to great extent depend on the welding quality of the steel structure; meanwhile a scientific and proper proof-testing guarantees the welding quality and safety of the steel structure. At present however there is no special specification or code of practice for the manufacturing of the railway bridge girder erecting machine and the proof-testing of the welding quality.
Research methods: The paper provides some suggestions and referable proposals through comparison and analysis of several national commercial specifications and codes of practice.
Research results: This paper sums up a suit of standard to be the same with the welding proof-testing for steel structure of 900 t railway bridge girder erecting machine.
Research conclusions: The standard bridge girder erecting machine can be for reference to the production and proof-testing for the similar railway bridge girder erecting machine.
