Abstract:Research purposes: During tunnel excavation procedure, the geological predictions in advance for the area in front the construction site, especially the prediction of scale, nature and influencing scope of the regional faults are very important to the construction quality , schedule and safety.
Research methods: The relative analysis is made on the base of geological survey, working face sketch, comprehensive physical prospecting, long-teen hydrologic observations and other comprehensive methods.
Research results: The location of the fault in the tunnel can he predicted by adopting the relative joints nature, and the relating formulas are derived.
Research conclusions :The construction practice shows the comprehensive prediction technology adopted in FZ6 fault zone is reasonable and effective. 'The fault location in tunnel is predicted by the method of joint relativity analysis. The different prediction technologies should be adopted according to the different geological conditions.
