Abstract:Research purposes: For various road-related survey and design enterprises in China,the Geological Information Gathering for Digital Subgrade Cross-section(GIGDSC)has recently become a bottleneck to restrain the further development of integration design with survey. Based on an overall investigation of PC hardware and software technology,this project aims to bring forward a solution which is adaptable to the features of GIGDSC,and the relevant software is then to be developed to get through a series of procedures of data transmission in the course of survey and design.
Research methods: Market investigation was firstly conducted to ensure that suitable PC hardware can be selected to carry out the GIGDSC,and then the corresponding software of GIGDSC was developed under the operation system of tablet PC.
Research results: Application of the tablet PC and self-developed GIGDSC software can successfully fulfil outdoor work and indoor data-management.
Research conclusions: With the development of science and technology,many tasks like GIGDSC,which digitalization are hard to be handled before,can also be fulfilled by means of application of new PC hardware and software technology.
