Abstract:Research purposes: Yichang—Wanzhou Railway passes through the typical carbonate rock area in west Hubei Province and the total length of karst tunnels is up to 75%of the total railway track length.When the tunnel passes through the soluble rock stratum with lime rock and dolomite rock,the large or extreme large water—bursting and mud—bursting maybe happen because the formation reasons for the rock stratum are very complicated.The water—bursting and mud—bursting can cause huge hazards to construction of tunnel.The large or extreme large accident maybe happen if there is any carelessness in construction.At present,there are nO risk control measures for the water—bursting and mud—bursting stipulated in the relative codes for railway tunnel construction and supervision and there is no example to be followed.So it is very urgent to do the research on the applicable technology for eliminating the water—bursting and mud—bursting risks to ensure the tunnel construction safety and establish harmonious railway.
Research conclusions: Through application of risk management for construction of risk tunnel on Yichang—Wanzhou Railway,this paper summarizes the key technologies for eliminating water—bursting and mud—bursting risks in construction of karst tunnel.The application shows these technologies are available and have the significance to the risk control of constructing the similar tunnel.
