Abstract:Research purposes:Dongying Yellow River Bridge of Donghong Highway is located at Dongying in Shandong Province, and the bridge site is near the sea entrance of Yellow River with much influence of typhoon. So more attention should be paid to the influence of wind on the structure in design. The analyses of the internal force, stress, deformation and vibration of the bridge structure under the wind effect as well as the wind resistance capacity of the bridge are made for providing the basis for taking measures against wind.
Research conclusions: For the large span prestressd concrete frame bridge with thin wall flexible piers, when it locates in the draught and encounters typhoon frequently, the wind much affected the internal force, stress, deformation, vibration of the bridge structure. Especially when encountering tornado, the torsion strength of temporary support pier for the bridge structure is not strong enough. So the large cantilever of bridge should be built in the season with low wind speed, and the necessary measures should be taken to enhance lateral stiffness of the bridge.
