Abstract:Research purposes:Heavy-haul railway is one of the main trends of railway development in China.The railway alignment is an extremely significant part in railway construction and it directly relates to the rationality of the construction scheme and decides the investment scale.Further more,the alignment of heavy haul railway has its unique characteristics. As the Zhangjiakou - Tangshan Railway is the major line of coal transportation in China in the new period,to find out the rational railway alignment is the basis of construction of Zhangjiakou - Tangshan Railway. This paper tends to analyze the characteristics of heavy - haul railway and the various factors that influence the alignment of heavy - haul railway and offer the reasonable principle and method for the railway alignment to make the alignment more scientific and suitable.
Research conclusions:The safety,energy-saving,construction investment,urban planning,environmental impact,topography and geology conditions,the comprehensive research is done on the alignment of the Zhangjiakou-Tangshan Railway to improve the construction scheme for obtaining the rationality in economics and technology, small environmental impact and best comprehensive benefits. The principle and method presented for the comprehensive alignment can offer the reference to the alignment design of haevy - haul railway and other railways.
