Abstract:Research purposes:The digital earth platform like the Google Earth can provide the rich global digital terrain data and the digital image data. In the earlier - stage study on the railway project,how to quickly get the data on the regional terrain elevation,build the digital triangulation network ground model and apply the technologies of the CAD, visualization and human - computer interaction are the basis to realize the visualization of the tracks' interactive linkage and make the the track alignment design. This paper describes the earlier - stage research on application of the digital alignment platform for the new railway project and especially presents the application of the platform in the railway projects at home and abroad under the condition of lacking the vector quantization topographic map to prove its practical value by the actual projects for providing the reference to its application.
Research conclusions: (1) The digital alignment platform for the different railway design stages has been widely used in the alignment designs of the earlier - stge study made by us at home and abroad to realize the three - dimensional dynamic design from the traditional two - dimensional static design and it can obviously enhance the efficiency and level of the track design.(2) The application of the platform can much reduce the working strength of designer and improve the design quality.
