Abstract Due to the serious traffic jam in the city day after day, the development of urban subway becomes a necessary tendency. Being an underground building, the water proofing is very important. Especially for subway's station, the standard of water proofing is rather high. Usually, I-class of water proofing is required. Several problems occurred for water proofing at certain station in the No.1 line of the Guangzhou subway are described in this paper, and some understandings are proposed.
