Abstract Establishment of joint-venture railways had remedied the shortcomings of insufficient investment of railway construction in China, and play a very great promoting role to the railway construction in China. But due to the influence of following factors, such as the unstandardized operation of joint-venture railway company, its ossified operating and manage model, simple business scope, unsuitable relations with different departments, delaying complete sets of engineering construction, etc., there were more and more difficulties occurred in the developing progress of joint-venture railways. Based on the analyses in detail of the influence factors, several methods and suggestions to solve the problems are proposed in this paper.
