Abstract:Research purposes:The observated data on the ground subsidence in Shanghai and Changzhou demonstrate that the big compression deformation of the pumped aquifers in these two places occurs to cause the permeability change of the aquifer during pumping in deep stratum. However, the current model often ignores the aquifer deformation. In this paper, for solving this problem,a coupled seepage and deformation model based on the actual change of the aquifer permeability with up and down of the water level is offered.
Research conclusions:Based on the research, the following conclusions are drawn: (1) The linear relation between void ratio and permeability coefficient of sandy soil in half logarithm coordinate is found.(2) The comparison of the measured and calculated data demonstrates the effectiveness of the model presented in this paper.(3) With the increasing of the pumping depth, the compressibility of sandy soil becomes lager,so it is imperative to use the seepage-deformation coupled model to calculate the subsidence of the pumped ground.
