Abstract：In previous method for calculating culvert length, first, the plane is analyzed, then the calculation formula is found out. In this way, the derivation processes of formula are complex and the error in calculation result is great because there are lots of factors influencing on culvert length and the factors also restrict each other. This paper presents simplified and accurate calculation formula of calculating culvert length by adopting space analysis method, gives an example of calculation, for reference to the design.
