Abstract：The paper introduces tho ro ughly the principal co nst ructio n methods of the prest ressed co ncrete beams in our country , as w ell as thei r applications and developments in the construction o f Chinese rai lway bridges. Based on the analy ses a nd the comparisons, the important applying sco pes of these co nst ructio n methods are pointed o ut.
