Abstract：A method by using matter element analysis was applied. It divided dangerous de?gree of geological disease of railway highwall into three kinds，and counted related function of each judging index for various diseases. The weighted value of each index was calculated based on exponential super-standard and the comprehensive related degree between indexes with each disease was counted according to weighted formula. Last,it gave 6 evaluation for the dangerous degree according to judging standard. The results of evaluation is identical with judged results of experts at scene.
