Abstract：When the body force is put into account，for a cantilever retaining wall with a thickness (B) equal to a gravity retaining wall，both the internal force (a) in the section of the wall body at the excavation depth (D) and the basal stress of a gravity retaining wall with a zero embedment may be expressed with the same formula,especially when the eccentric dis?tance The paper presents that the wall of a dry jet mixing pile (DJMP) with certain embedment (H) has both the mechnical properties of the above retaining walls. It is assumed that the pile wall is a rigid body and the paper puts forward a practical design and calculation method for DJMP by means of atr m,f method which considers the foundation，selastic resis-tance and an elastic theoretical formula.
