Abstract：The paper introduces the specialities of the Norway Tunnel Construction Method NTM (being called the Norway Method for short)which is a tunnel engineering technology pre?vailed at the same time with NATM in Europe. The applications of the Norway Method in other countries are also introduced. The possibility of pursuing the Norway Method in our country has been analyzed,and the practical significance of this method has been further explained.
