Abstract：This paper describes and discusses the meaning of the compaction of the railway soilroadbed and the principal measures for controlling the effects of the compaction,The pa?per proposes also the viewpoints and suggestions for constructing several special engineering sections such as the semia-filling and semi-excavating sections, the sections behind the bridge abutments the fragmentary filling and the shallow excavating ,etc.
