Abstract:Abstract:Research purposes: The average travelling time of common - speed passenger train from Yinchuan to Beijing reaches 12.6 hours now. While operating 200 km/h - EMUtrain on Taiyuan - Zhongwei - Yinchuan Line,the average travelling time will be shortened to 7. 5 h significantly, the travelling route is from Yinchuan to Dingbian to Taiyuan along Taiyuan - Zhongwei - Yinchuan Line,then from Taiyuan to Shijiazhuang along Shijiazhuang - Taiyuan DPL,then from Shijiazhuang to Being along Beijing - Shijiazhuang DPL. So it is necessary to study the operation of EMU trains on Taiyuan - Zhongwei - Yinchuan line. Considering that Taiyuan - Zhongwei - Yinchuan Line was designed as mixed passenger and freight line and the line from Yinchuan to Dingbian is single - line,this paper is aimed to solve problems on the carrying capacity and organization plan of Taiyuan - Zhongwei - Yinchuan Line operating EMU train. Research conclusions:( 1 ) The EMU train operation on Yinchuan - Dingbian line is feasibility in theory. (2) The speed grade of Yinchuan - Beijing EMU train should be 200 km/h. (3) To mitigate operating risks,the organization plan that the EMU train travels 160 km/h on Yinchuan - Dingbian single - line and 200 km/h on Dingbian - Taiyuan double - line is recommended. (4 ) The research results can provide a reference for otlier similar project.
