Design of Large-span Purlin for Platform Canopy without Post of Beijing Railway Station

Abstract:Research purposes: The posts of station platform will be installed between tracks, which can make the platform more open and bright and provide comforts to the passengers and reference to the similar works.
Research conclusions : Adopting the H-beam light solid consecutive purlin and long cantilever purlin structure are the effective ways to lower the structure weight and roof thickness, reduce deflection and inter-bending and realize the large-span. Providing horizontal support to purlin is the effective measure for guaranteeing purlin plane stability.
