Abstract Based on elastic-plastic theoretical analysis, by combining its mechanics mechanism，this paper discussed the qualitative and quantitative design method of bolt-spraying supporting, and the method is applied to tunnels in the " West gas transported to the East” pipe line. It is being proved by real engineering, the method introduced in the paper is reasonable and gives important reference to similar engineering.
