Study on Interval Spacing between Main Lines of High Speed Railway Bangkok to Chiang Mai of Thailand |

Abstract Research purposes: According to the government agreement of China and Thailand,Bangkok to Chiang Mai high speed railway should be intended to keep 300 kg/h as the aim speed in plan and design,adopt Chinese CRH series of electric multiple unit, its design rules and technique standard should combine the condition of Thailand but not follow Chinese relative rules,the railway emphasize to make the search on the main line distance,it is not only to be satisfied to local demand,assure the safety but also economic project investment.
Research conclusions: Interval spacing between main lines from Bangkok to Chiang Mai of Thailand may carry on the standard as follows: (1)The main line distance for the region of 300 km/h as the intended speed should be adopted 4. 8 m,the belt line region should not be broadened.(2)The main line distance for the region of 160 km/h as the limited speed should be 4. 2 m,the belt line region should be broadened.(3)Stack-up frame pier bridge scheme is adopted in Bangkok regional railway hub. Planning high-speed railway is located in the second floor, making use of four line bridge scheme with adjacent airport express,and 5 m is taken as the minimum interval spacing between main lines. ( 4 ) In this paper , the arrangement of railway line ”stack-up” , have some reference value for the area of land resource constraints and difficulties in land acquisition.
