Abstract Research purposes:The deformation of the ground surface is essential to the successful construction of tunnel in city. The freezing parameters should be decided rationally through making analysis of the deformation of the ground surface, the expanding and releasing pressures for the purposes of establishing effective soil pressure balance, reducing the deformation of the ground surface, and guaranteeing construction quality.
Research conclusions:Taking the connecting aisle construction of bidding 2 of Line 10 of Shanghai metro as an example, the deformation of the ground surface, the expanding and releasing pressures in the soil were monitored on the site and monitored data are analyzed in this paper. The monitored data and analysis results show the deformations can be controlled in the prescribed limit if the parameters of freezing time, expanding pressures are defined rationally and an effective soil pressure balance is established.
