Abstract：Abstract : Research purposes : Remote sensing technology provides macro geological basis for railway survey design and long tunnel site selection，can guide engineering geological investigation and exploration work，and reduce the labor intensity and shorten the survey period，improve the quality and efficiency of geological survey. At present，because the railway design industry is not clear for function orientation ; technical standard ; application mode ; operating rules ; thus its application depth and level in railway surveying system are limited. Research conclusions :( 1) Define the function and role of railway remote sensing exploration technical system in basic data acquisition，macroscopic analysis and evaluation. (2) The railway remote sensing exploration technical system satisfies the business requirements of route selection， aerial surveying and mapping， geological mapping， geological surveying，comprehensive exploration， environmental assessment， data collation and standard compilation. (3) The research proposes the theoretical basis and technical route for construction the standardized， systematic， information railway remote sensing survey platform and standardized operating procedures.
