Abstract

Landslide,collapse and mud-rock flow are most common geological hazards inter?fering with mountain railway traffic. Taking Baoji-Tianshui railway as study area, the proce?dure and method of investigating railway geological hazards with airborne remote sensing techniques are discussed in this paper. The 187 hazard sites have been discovered in the study ares. The authors summarize the technical methods about building up railway geological haz?ard information system with ARC/INFO > and further expound some technical matters relat?ing to building data base,inquiring,analysing model and mapping of hazards.
