Under the complex geological situations of the Zhicheng-Wanzhou railway line, seizing the key major geology problems, the special characteristics of these problems and their controlling roles are analyzed. The principles of engineering geologic route selection are proposed, and the large-area scheme comparisons are put forward, which has reflected fully the importance of the engineering geologic route selection.
