Abstract

The multi-year frozen soil at Qing-Zang Plateau possess of big sensitivity upon the change of environmental thermo-state. In order to guarantee the railway safety stable operation,it is required immediately to put forward a long-term monitoring on the state of multi-year frozen ground and the railway structures and buildings constructed on the frozen ground,to discover and forecast the change of geologic conditions along the railway and their developing regularity deeply and timely,so as to systematically control their dynamic changes and harmful effects on structures and buildings along the railway. At the same time, the relative design schemes, structures and construction treatment measures may be verified, sections where deformation defects occur may be forecasted and the engineering measures may be analyzed and evaluated. Corresponding preventive countermeasures under the defect conditions may be established,so as to control the stability of the multi- year frozen ground timely, initiativelv and effectively during the operation of Qing-Zang Railway in the future.
