Based on the technical standards and the construction organizations of the Qin-Shen dedicated rapid passenger traffic railway line, the overall processes concerned with the complete setting, selection, purchase and application of the construction machinery equipments for bridge erection and track laying of Qin-Shen railway line are summarized in this paper. The practices show that the complete setting and selection process of construction machinery for Qin-Shen railway linewas very scientific, and the complete setting of machinery was advanced and with high efficiency. It provides experience on complete setting of construction machinery for large- scale engineering project in the future.
