Abstract

Research purposes: Through making overall comments on the practical example, the explanations are given to the applied range and reinforcement principle of churning jet pile, including the issues for attention in design and construction. It is demonstrated that churning jet pile is a perfect way of reinforcing the foundation of bridge on existing railway line with feasible technique, money saving, practice, easy construction and good results.
Research methods: Closely around the characteristics of the existing operational line, the comparisons are made for the influence on the safety of bridge foundation by conducting churning jet pile and for the reinforcement achievements from the angle of technology by adopting the methods of overall analyses, theoretical calculation and practical verification for the purposes of making research conclusion more believable and reinforcement achievement more reliable.
Research conclusions : As a method of reinforcing foundation , churning jet pile has the features of wide application , easy construction, less influence on foundation, good reinforcement result and money saving, so it is necessary to do the further research on churning jet pile.
