Abstract

Research purposes: With the development of passenger dedicated line in our country, it is inevitable to install the turnout on the bridge due to the layout of stations. The researches are done in this paper on the design of the ballast track variable width continuous beam structure in the turnout area of Hanjiang Major Bridge with main spans (48+3*80+48 m)of Xiamen-Shenzhen railway from areas of bridge deck layout, structure style and construction program.
Research results: Through making analyses of large-span variable width continuous beam with finite element method, all indexes meet the standards for bridge and track, so Hanjiang Major Bridge satisfies the demands of station layout, navigation and flood protection. This is the first time for China to install the high-speed gapless turnout on the large-span PC continuous beam bridge, which is a new key breakthrough and innovation in technology for passenger dedicated line in China.
