Research purposes:Changsha hub undertakes the passenger and freight transportation in central south region of China, and plays an important role in the railway network in China. The alignment of Shanghai-Kunming Passenger Dedicated Line directly impacts the transportation and economic development in Changsha region. Through the research and analysis of the construction cost, passenger traffic effect, coordination with the city plan and reasonable use of remained project, a reasonable scheme of leading the line into Changsha hub is determined.
Research conclusions:There are three schemes of leading Shanghai-Kunming Passenger Dedicated Line into Changsha hub, namely, one is north-inbound and south-outbound from Changsha South Railway Station, the other one is to build new stations in Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan, and the last one is south-inbound and north-outbound from Zhuzhou West Railway Station. This paper analyzes the three schemes from the aspects of the construction cost, passenger traffic effect, coordination with the city plan and reasonable use of remained project with fuzzy analytic hierarchy process. Finally the first scheme is determined, which not only meets the urban development planning and railway transport demands, saves the construction investment, reasonably use the remained projects, but also ensures successful starting construction of Hangzhou-Changsha Passenger Dedicated Line.
