Analysis of Interference in Wireless Technology between Passenger Information System and Communication Based Train Control System in Subway

Abstract

Research purposes:With the rapid development of WLAN technology in subway,the characteristics of popular standards of WLAN technology are introduced in the article. The bandwidth requirement of passenger information system ( PIS ) and communication based train control ( CBTC ) system are deduced from the analysis of WLAN networking structure and the characteristics of data transmission.Other characteristics of PIS and CBTC wireless network are also analyzed.And possible problems of PIS and CBTC when WLAN is adopted in metro tunnel are discussed.
Research conclusions:Based on the analysis of the bandwidth requirement of the PIS wireless network,only the 802.11a technology or 802.11g technology can be adopted in PIS. The interference between PIS and CBTC can be avoided when 802.11a technology is adopted in PIS,and the interface and implementation of project are easier.But when 802.11g technology is adopted in PIS,the frequency of PIS should be different from the frequency of CBTC,and the project interface is increased.Possible interference from other wireless network should be considered simultaneously.
