Research on Schemes of Tongshan Connecting Track for Leading Zhengzhou-Xuzhou Dedicated Passenger Line into Xuzhou Terminal

Abstract

Research purposes: The connecting track should have less intersection interference on passenger traffic and freight traffic,meet the requirements of the urban planning,with the features of less work volume and easy implement.After the Zhengzhou - Xuzhou Dedicated Passenger Line is led into the Xuzhou Terminal,it is necessary to choose the right connecting track to solve the problem of route for receiving the track - crossing trains from northwest. According to the situations of the Xuzhou Treminal and Tongshan Station,the research was done on Tongshan connecting track schemes.
Research conclusions: Both of the Track Schemes and Direction Schemes have their advantages and disadvantages.When the connecting track is led and existing track is led into the out station,it has less influence on the station throat and the existing railway. But when grade of connecting track is higher,it needs the bigger radius and the unuseful area increases,so the demolishing work will increase when the connecting track crosses the city proper. Both of the Track Schemes and Direction Schemes should consider the factors of the city layout,facilities of the existing station,city planning and the influence on the railway safety to determine optimal scheme.
