Abstract

Research purposes: Based on the analysis of factors effecting the ground fissure development along the line of a proposed project, the main affecting factors of ground fissure development were determined and the hazard assessment model was established for the ground fissure to calculate the hazard index of the ground fissure and sort the hazard areas for assessing the occurrence hazard of the ground fissures along the line of a proposed project and guiding the survey and design of the project.
Research conclusions: In accordance with the hazard index of groud fissure and the hazard level, the harzard of the ground fissures along the line of the project was divided into three types, namely the high, medium and low risk zones. It was concluded in the field that the ground fissures at Beidian,Sunhe and Miaojuan were developed in the high risk zones. The assessment result fit the actual situation and it effectively guided the survey and design of the project.
