Research purposes:The slope analysis is a complex work affected by various factors. There are more problems related to the slope stability because the railway engineering is a linear engineering, especially when railway crossing mountains. It is difficult to reflect the true stress and stability states of the slope by using one traditional slope stability analysis method. How to properly and reasonably analyze the slope stability becomes a difficult problem. In this paper, the finite element method is used to analyze the slope stability and compared with the traditional method, and some new ideas on how to analyze the slope stability are given out for providing the reference to the analysis of the slope stability.
Research conclusions:As the slope stability analysis is a comprehensive work, first the analogy method should be used to make qualitative analysis of slope stability based on the previous experience of the similar projects and then the limit equilibrium method should be used to make the quantitative analysis of the slope stability, and the model should be built to make simulation analysis if necessary. Finally the numerical simulation should be done with the finite element analysis software to find the weaknesses of the slope stress state so that the corresponding preventive measures can be taken with relatively low cost. The results of this study can be applied in the analysis and design of slope, particularly suitable for the alignment of the mountain railway and highway and slope design, and can effectively improve the efficiency and accuracy.
