Abstract Abstract:Research purposes: Long tunnels are usually designed in a straight line. The author considers that under certain terrain conditions, in order to reduce the depth of the inclined and vertical shafts, which are necessary auxiliary engineering for long tunnel, the tunnel line could be offset to the low side of the mountain and designed to curve. Curved line can reduce the amount of ancillary works, but also increases the amount of the tunnel project. Research purpose is to solve the contradiction between route selection of extra - long tunnel and ancillary works location.
Research conclusions:(1 ) By setting reasonable curve in long and extra - long tunnels, can effectively reduce the amount of auxiliary works and shorten the duration of the tunnel, while the incremental amount of engineering is very small. (2) Additional local bypass curve in tunnel has no adverse effects on the vehicle operation. (3) Additional bypass curve does not increase the difficulty and quantity of maintenance works. (4) The effect of additional bypass curve on air resistance and operation ventilation is very small. (5) Additional bypass curve can effectively reduce the depth of auxiliary engineering. (6) This line type is suitable for long and extra - long tunnels.
