Mechanical Performance Monitoring for Support Box Girders During Large Box Girders Transport and Erection on Box Girders

Abstract

Research purposes: The 50 m/1 650 t prestressed concrete box girders have been used in Section S1 of Ningbo Phase I of the Hangzhou-Ningbo expressway. The box girders are transported and erected by a YL1800 beam transport vehicle and a JQ1800 bridge erecting machine. Due to the combined actions of the box girders to be erected and the transport-erection equipment, the mechanical performance and safety of the support box girders should be paid more attention. To study the mechanical performance of the support box girders during the large box girders transport and erection on the box girders, evaluate the safety of the construction scheme, filed monitoring and finite element analysis of the support box girder were carried out.
Research conclusions: (1) During the large box girder transport and erection on the box girders, the top plate and bottom plate of the mid-span section of the support box girder are pressed in longitudinal, the top plate is in compression state along the transverse direction, the middle part of the bottom plate is tensioned, the corners are compressed, and the girder deflection is small. (2) The top plate and the bottom plate of the girder erecting machine middle leg support section are in compression state along the longitudinal and transverse directions. (3) The mechanical performance and deflection of the support box girder meet the requirements of the specification, and the transport and erection scheme of the large box girders is safe and feasible. (4) The research results can provide a reference for the transport and erection of the large box girders.
