Abstract Research purposes: Highway tunnel needs consumption of a large number of energy,the China's transport authorities focus on its energy - saving and emission reduction. Research shows that there are still many deep - rooted problems in the energy - saving and emission reduction of highway tunnel while making some progresses. On the basis of analyzing factors that effects the energy - saving and emission reduction of highway tunnel,the countermeasures for energy - saving and emission reduction of highway tunnel are proposes from the systematic engineering angle for providing the reference to the further energy - saving and emission reduction of highway tunnel.
Research conclusions: At present,the problems in the energy - saving and emission reduction of highway tunnel in China mainly relate to the balance of economic and social benefits,wide application of the of energy - saving products and technology,standardization of the statistical index system for energy - saving,special fund for energy - saving and emission reduction and the supported of the relevant policies and regulations. The factors that affect the energy - saving and emission reduction include civil engineering structures,mechanical and electrical facilities,traffic characteristics, economic capacity and natural conditions. The countermeasures for the energy - saving and emission reduction of highway tunnel include the energy - saving by the structure,the energy - saving by technology and the energy - saving by management.
