Research on the Method to Define the Classification of Line Accessibility for Railway Network |

Abstract Research purposes : Reasonably determining the role and consequence of lines in the regional railway network has great significance to the reasonable railway network plan and deployment of railway technical standard, however, the quantitative methods are still absent now. In this paper, the line accessibility classification model is established for classifying the consequences of the lines in the network, which provide a quantitative mean to determine the role and consequence of lines for railway network plan and design.
Research conclusions; By calculating the classification of line accessibility for railway network in Northeast area, the practicability of the method is validated and a great correlation exists between the line accessibility classification and the railway classification. The model built in this paper could be adopted in the fields of network planning,network analysis and evaluation.
