THE APPLICABLE CALCULATION METHOD OF PIERS‘AND ABUTMENTS‘BRAKING FORCE OF RAILWAY BRIDGE ON JOINTLESS TRACK |

Abstract Research purpose: Braking force is one of important influence factors in designing piers and abuments of bridge. Now according to the characteristics of transmiting braking force of railway bridge on jointless track, the law of piers' and abutments' braking force of the simply-supported bridges on jointless track loaded by Standard Railway Train Live Load Specidied by The People's Republic of China is analysed, and applicable calculation method of braking force is put forward.
Research method: According to the characteristics of transmiting braking force of railway bridge on jointless track, bridge constructure, jointless track on bridge, part of subgrade on back of abutment are considered as integral calculating model, to calculate braking force of track. Based on this model, finite element method is adopted to analyse and calculate.
Research result: The influence factors and the law of piers' and abutments' braking force of the simply- supported bridges loaded by Standard Railway Train Live Load Specidied by The People's Republic of China are analysed, piers' and abutments' braking force considering equal span and equal piers' stiffness on the simply-supported bridges is calculated.Finally, applicable calculation method of braking force considering equal span and equal piers' stiffness on the simply-supported bridges is put forward.
Research conclusion: This method is simple, applicable and also approach the calculated data.
