Research conclusions ; Through the study on express and slow train running organization mode system，the conclusions are drawn that in the design stage the study should be made on determination of system capacity loss，determination method of express train station，determination method of overtaking point，comparison of overtaking stationsidings design and overtaking scheme evaluation method. The study results can be used as design basis organizing express train and slow train mixed operation in the metro engineering and also provide the theoretical reference for organizing the express and slow mixed operation using existing facilities in the operation stage of the existing line.
