A FEASIBILITY STUDY ON QIONGZHOU STRAIT SUBMERGED FLOATING TUNNEL |

Abstract Along with Hainan economic development, traffic amount will become larger and larger on Qiongzhou strait, so it is inevitable to build a settled submarine channel. Based on a great deal of the meteorological, hydrologic, geologic information on QiongZhou strait and analyzing the state of the art of domestic and foreign researching on submerged floating tunnels, the suggestion of building Qiongzhou strait submerged floating tunnel is put forward, and the feasibility of building submerged floating tunnel is demonstrated.
