Abstract Based o n the ex perience of reinfo rcing the lining spli t in the arched po rtion o f the Wa ng jiazhua ng railw ay tunnel, the autho rs expound briefly in detail a simple and feasible new reinfo rcing technique fo r the di saster t rea tment o f the lo essal tunnel. This tech nique is va luable in practice.
