Abstract The paper describes the necessi ty a nd superio ri ty to proceed the survey on tunnel by the remo te sensing tech nique, a nd proposes the o pinion and method to proceed the ev aluation o n the deg ree of plenty-w ater-content in tunnel by applying the remo te sensing images. combined the Qinling Tunnel o n Xi-Kang Rai lway w it th the Jia zhuqing Tunnel o n Nan-Kun Rai lway as practical ex amples, the ev alua tio ns are made. Finally , it is pointed out tha t this method is applicable and sho uld be perfected furthermore through practices.
