Abstract The const ruction v enti latio n technique, w hich w as ado pted during the co nst ruction of the Wuzhi shan Tunnel o n the Jing -Jiu Rai lw ay Line, is the ef fective measure applied ag ainst the high g round temperature and the high pollutio ns. Thi s techno logy has been described comprehensiv ely in the paper , and the sugg estions fo r doing w ell the const ruction v enti la tio n fo r the double-t racked lo ng tunnels a re proposed. It is v aluable a s reference fo r the const ruction of the double-t racked lo ng tunnels , especially fo r the lo ng tunnels wi th parallel heading adi ts.
