Abstract Research purposes: According to the characteristics of the intercity railway,this paper analyzes the requirement of the intercity railway for the track structure,presents the selection principle of the track structure of intercity railway and makes a proposal on selection of the track structure of 200km/h intercity railway based on the analysis and comparison of the rail,fastening and the foundation under the rail.
Research conclusions: The selection of track structure should enhance the load bearing capacity of the whole track structure uniformly. The U71Mn rail,ballastless track and suited rail fastening system should be used in order to increase the utilization ratio of the intercity railway. When the railway passes the large terminal,according to the difficult level,the ballast track can be used to reduce the influence on the engineering in the terminal because there are many tracks and various kinds of turnouts in the terminal. In addition,when the railway passes the area with dense population like downtown area,the measures for reducing vibration and noise should be taken to reduce the influence of train running on environment.
