Determination Method of Overtaking Point in the Metro Express/Slow Train Mode |

Abstract In the metro express/slow train mode, the setting of overtaking point is related to mutiple factors such as train densities, launching intervals of the express/slow train and the engineering implementation conditions, in addition, the system compatibility under different train densities is strongly required. The key to the express/slow train mode research is how to reasonably determine the train overtaking sites. Combined above influencing factors, conclusion was made on the strategy of over-taking sites determination, and theoretical basis was provided for preliminary engineering research.Research conclusions:(1) Starting from the setting principles of the train overtaking sites, this paper analyzed the influencing factors of it. The train operation density and the launching interval of express/slow train have the greatest influence on the determination of the train overtaking sites among all the influencing factors. (2) Based on the analysis conclusions above, this paper came up with the point that the distribution of the train overtaking sites was regular in case the ratio of express and slow train was 1 ∶1 and the departure of the express train was uniform, then summarized the setting principle formula of the train overtaking sites. (3) The setting principle formula of the train overtaking sites was proposed in case the ratio of express and slow train wasn't 1 ∶1. (4) The theoretical research above was verified through drawing working diagram, the result of theoretical research was proved to be the same as drawing working diagram. (5) The research achievement will provide theoretical basis to preliminary engineering research and train orgnization design, and will provide a reference to make future standards and specifications of express/slow train mode.
