Abstract Research purposes: The application of unit price contracting to railway projects has gradually become the focus of the industry. To improve the performance of railway EPC projects under the framework of unit price subcontracting, it is necessary to investigate the influencing factors and clarify the causal relationships and influence mechanism among the factors.
Research conclusions: (1)The 23 representative factors are identified through grounded theory method.ThroughDEMATEL-ISM model, the 23 influencing factors are divided into 11 cause factors, 12 effect factors and 7 levels. (2)The causal relationship and impact mechanism among factors are deeply explored, and the most fundamental factors that affect the performance of railway EPC projects are identified.(3)This paper can provide references to the application of unit price contracting to railway EPC projects for improving the performance.
