1 Application of Integrated Survey for Route Selection in Rock Glacier Side Zone

Research purposes: The rock glacier side's sort, distribution range, distribution thickness, geological cause and stability etc are made clear by making integrated survey and on which the influence on railway construction is evaluated for the purpose of presenting the resolution to the railway crossing talus area.
Research conclusions :(1)The talus compose of blocks and detritus and grain size is highly large. The porosity is very large and the gradation is poor. By gravity and groundwater, it takes on active tide and it is threaten to railway engineering. ( 2 ) Rock glacier side is steady that its lacunae is infilled by mass fine particle soil and frutex and arbor grows on it. By integrated survey, we made certain that surrounding rock quality of tunnels through rock pile zone is good and it is favorable to railway. ( 3 ) Via selection of technic and economy , the tunnel scheme is better than subgrade scheme and we select tunnel scheme finally.

4 The Calculation and Analyses of the Rainstorm Runoff of Minor Watershed along Jinzhou-Chifeng Railway

Research purposes: Based on the geological survey for Jinzhou-Chifeng railway, the comprehensive analyses of many elements of the watershed along the railway are made for the purpose of seeking the methods for calculation of the rainstorm runoff of minor watershed.
Research results: According to the nature features of water system of river, hydrology and meteorology in this area, the calculated results of the rainstorm flow with 4 different four hydrographic computing methods are presented. Through making comparison and analyses of them, it is suitable for adopting endemic formula method to calculate the rainstorm runoff of minor watershed along Jinzhou-Chifeng Railway.

8 Comparative Study on Engineering Geology for Site Selection of Lancang River Bridge on Dali-Ruili Railway

Research purposes: The engineering geological condition of Dali-Ruili Railway is very complex and Lancang River Bridge is one of controlled engineering projects, so it is necessary to determine the site of Lancang River and then to determine the route selection of the railway. The analyses of the engineering geological conditions of all optional plans are made for the purpose of determining optimum bridge site.
Research results: According to the Wangjiazhuang plan and Jiepai plan, the bridge will cross some faults and unfavorable geological zone, resulting in a difficult construction. The Jihong plan is optimum and to which the bridge will cross a little better geological conditions zone of geological structure and lithology.

12 The Main Geological Disaster and Geological Route Selection of Mengzi- Hekou Railway

Research purposes: There are serious geological disasters in the area where the Mengzi-hekou Railway passes through. Based on the deciphering with remote sensing, site surveying, integrative exploration, and active fracture identifying and so on, the analyses of distribution and cause for regional geological disasters are made, the principles of geological mute selection is presented and the scheme with better geological conditions is recommended for the purposes of making the construction feasible in technology and reasonable in economy.
Research results: The distribution of geological disasters along Mengzi-Hekou Railway presents obviously territorial; the division of east and west area is Longgutang-Jimi-Nanhan Great Fracture, which is made by landform, climate, areal geological structure and new tectogenesis, stratum and lithology, and human work and so on. Based on the research of geological disaster in this area, the mid-line scheme with preponderant geological condition is adopted, which reduces the difficulty in construction and hidden troubles followed, and increases the mute scheme's feasibility and reliability.

16 Discussion on Computing Method of Passenger Flow Volume in Station of Inter-City Railway at Peak Hour

Research purposes: Based on the analysis of the assembling and distributing characteristics of passengers in different type and the different function of railway stations, the computing method of passenger flow volume in station at peak hour is presented with the reference views on it.
Research conclusions: For the computing the passenger flow volume in start station, terminal station and large station in the section, it is suitable to use the factor method and not suitable to use the graphic method because the volume will be as the basis of working out the train running scheme , but the graphic method can be used for computing the adaptability of train running scheme. For the computing the passenger flow volume in small stations along railway, it is suitable to used graphic method because the train running scheme makes effect on passengers' travel.

19 Study on Pile-slab Structure Subgrade for Ballastless Track of Passenger Dedicated Line

Research purposes: In order to realize the rigid control of settlement after construction of subgrade for ballastless track railway, the proposal of pile-slab structure subgrade is for the first time adopted in the ballastless track integrated pilot section of Suining-Chongqing railway, so the study must be carried out on its working mechanism, bearing capacity and dynamic characteristics.
Research conclusions: The pile-slab structure subgrade is a new type of subgrade structure of ballastless track railway with high bearing capacity, dynamic performance and better economical efficiency. So it can be applied to the soft foundation improvement in the low embankment and cutting section where the engineering geology is complicated and in the special section where the short subgrade is between two bridges(tunnels ) and subgrade in the switch section of newly-built ballastless track railway of passenger dedicated line, simultaneously to the reinforcement and stabilization of the built embankment.

23 Discussion on Lectotype of Gravity Retaining Wall and Its Arrangement

Research purposes: This paper sums up the different types of the gravity retaining walls in the design and construction, theoretically analyzes and calculates their characteristics, and concludes the method of lectotype and the principle of arrangement for gravity retaining wall for the purpose of providing references to design, construction of it and to compiling standard drawings.
Research conclusions: For normal-speed railway, the first is to choose the balance gravity shoulder retaining wall when the ground transverse slope is cliffy or needs to reduce its width and the second is to choose convex broken line shape retaining wall. The embankment wall, cutting wall and gravity retaining wall of the high -speed railway should adopt the type oblique to soil. The lectotype and arrangement of the retaining wall should be decided by the following factors; difference between the normal-speed railway and the high-speed railway , immersed or non-immersed and the limited occupation of land.

28 Analyses of the Embedment Depth of Underground Continuous Wall

Research purposes: Taking excavation of the foundation pit for the underground two-storey station of Shanghai rail transit as an example, the analysis of the relation between reliability and embedment depth of exterior- protected structure is made with the reliable design theory for the purpose of determining the suitable embedment depth of exterior-protected structure.
Research conclusions: The lateral horizontal displacement of underground continuous wall is not reduced endlessly with deepening the embedment depth, so underground continuous wall will play little role in control of the horizontal displacement of foundation pit when its embedment reaches at a certain depth. The embedment depth is determined by the analysis method of ”damage probability",which not only can guarantee the stability of foundation pit, but also can reduce the construction cost.

32 Application of Bag-grouting Pile in Reinforcing the Deep Intercalation Soft Soil Foundation

Research purposes: Effective treating the deep intercalation soft soil foundation of YongTaiWen Railway is very important to the investment control and satisfying the requirements of high standard railway subgrade for stability and control of the post-construction settlement, so the study is done on seeking a foundation reinforcement technique which is feasible in technology and rational in the cost.
Research conclusions:Bag-grouting pile is a new technique integrating stratified grouting technique with geo textile and it can be used for forming composite foundation along with the soil around to improve the rigidity and the bearing capacity of subgrade soil with the features of continuous process, non-contamination and high availability of materials, so it can be used to reinforce the deep intercalation soft soil foundation.

37 The Influence of Land Subsidence on the Bridge of High-speed Railway and Its Engineering Countermeasures

Research purposes: The study is done on the influences of land subsidences on the bridges of high-speed railway at different stages in different areas and the preventive and engineering rmeasures for subsidence are presented for the purpose of providing reference to survey, design and construction of high-speed railway.
Research conclusions: In the central area of land subsidence and vicinity of the pumping well, the uneven subsidence is more serious , which much influences the bridge structure. In the extended area of land subsidence , the deformations of strata and bridge caused by land subsidence are ,longitudinal ones with large subsidence volume, but which has little influence on the bridge structure. In the area of land subsidence, the subsidence happens slowly, which has a little influence on the construction of bridge, but the large subsidence may happen in some places, so it is necessary to select bridge site rationally, optimize the layout and structure type of bridge, adopt simply-supported structure and take the engineering measures to enhance the bridge capacity against the subsidence.

42 Reinforcement Design of 160m Span Prestressed Concrete Continuous Rigid Frame Box Girder

Research purposes:According to the disease of the continuous rigid frame box girder, the reasonable method is adopted to improve the rigidity and strength of the girder cross-section for the purpose of ensuring the safety of bridge structure.
Research conclusions: As the crack generated among end-span, side-span and mid-span(1/4~3/4L) of the web plate weaken the rigidity and strength of the cross-section, so the applied reinforcement method can improve the rigidity and strength of the cross-section with feasibility and money saving. Through making calculation and comparison, the amplitude variation of the internal force before and after cracking is small. Because of the loss of the vertical prestress, the shear force of the cross-section is close to or lower than the most unfavorable design value of shear force, resulting in large incipient fault of the bridge structure during operation , so it is necessary to improve the strength against shear force in time due to the loss of the vertical prestress. The inversion method is used to analyze the factors of the disease. With the sticking steel plate and thickening web plate of the girder, the loss of the rigidity and strength of the girder cross-section can be compensated

47 Study on and Application of Finite Element Analytical Methods in Continuous Rigid Frame

Research purposes :The researches are done on the finite element analytical methods for continuous rigid frame for the purpose of providing reference to the structure design of continuous rigid frame.
Research conclusions: In the structure design of the continuous rigid frame, the plane link element method can be adopted for the structure design at first and then the three-dimensional solid FEM can be adopted for making the spatial analysis of the structure. According to the spatial analyzed results, the results of the plane design should be modified and adjusted to make up for the disadvantages of the structure analysis, on which the reliable basis can be provided for the design of continuous rigid frame.

52 Internal Force Analysis of the Curve Obliquity Reinforced Concrete Rigid Frame Continuous Beam Bridge

Research purposes: For the peculiar crankle coupling mechanics peculiarity of the curve bridge that the structure internal force is quite intricacy. In the paper the internal force of the curve obliquity reinforced concrete rigid frame continuous beam bridge is discussed as the Beijing South Station Liangshuihe rigid frame continuous beam medium span bridge as the engineering background.
Research conclusions: The crankle coupling and obliquity of the rigid pier made the distortion, the vertical moment are greater than the straight bridge's of the same spans. And the outboard deflection is greater than the inboard one. The support reactions of the curve bridge have a trend that the outboard support reactions are greater than the inboard ones, contrasted with the straight bridge of the same spans.

56 Study on High Temperature Geothermal Water in Jiuzhai Tunnel on Yuxi-Mengzi Railway

Research purposes: It is necessary to find out the formation cause, original resource, recharge, runoff and discharge features of geothermal water for the purposes of providing reliable basis data for design and construction of the tunnel with high temperature geothermal and reference to the engineering geological investigation for similar geological condition.
Research conclusions : The high temperature geothermal water comes from meteoric rain , moves through fault zones ( or influence zones) to be heated and transfers towards valley to be drained. The temperature inside the tunnel raises high by hot water gushing after the tunnel was excavated because the tunnel's axis intersects the direction of groundwater with large angle. When tunnel passes the fault zones, we should pay more attention to surveying and analyzing the high temperature geothermal.

62 Development of Overhead Contact Line System JY250 Applied for 250 km/h Speed-raised Railway

Research purposes: It is necessary to upgrade the existing railway for enhancing the passenger transportation capability of the existing railway. After the sixth-round speed-up , the speed of the double-sets coupled EMUS with double working pantographs is up to 250 km/h,so it needs to do researches on the technology for upgrading overhead contact line for the purpose of making the sixth-round speed-up going smoothly.
Research Conclusions: The tested results of EMUS with double pantograph show both of overhead contact line system JY250 and JY 250C can meet the relative requirements. The design can be optimized in big sense with usage of JY250 System, which can reduce the construction cost, provide the reference to similar works in future and bring large social benefits.

66 Study on Reasonable Selection of the Midway between Adjacent Tracks inside Railway Station

Research purposes: The purposes of this paper are to discuss the way of determining the midway between main line and departure line and whether there is the midway between adjacent tracks in passenger and freight mixed railway stations as well as whether the midway between the OCS masts is 6500 mm.
Research conclusions: The more attention should be paid to the facilities like noise barrier, OCS masts, longitudinal drain sump between lines, canopy column and station column, etc. when selecting the midway because they may affect calculation of the midway. The most important thing is the safety of column when arranging the station columns between main line and departure line, and for which installing check rail and check wall is a reasonable, safe and feasible way. For the midway between adjacent tracks in passenger and freight mixed railway station and for the midway between the OCS masts, the layout of signal machine, type of OCS masters, drain sumps, and mechanized maintenance shall be taken into account when doing calculation.

71 Study on the Plain Layout of Suide Railway Station

Research purposes :The study is done on the reasonable plain layout of Suide Station to make it adaptable to the extremely unfavorable geographical conditions for the purpose of better exchanging traffic flows from Taiyuan- Zhongwei and Baotou-Xi an railway lines in Suide Station.
Research conclusions: Through making analyses and doing research on the concrete influencing factors, the final plain layout of Suide Station is decided as follows; Taiyuan-Zhongwei and BaoTou-Xi an railway lines enter into Suide Station separately according to the direction and in the station, Baotou-Xi'an Railway Line is outside Taiyuan- Zhongwei Railway Line. The problems of exchanging traffic flows from two railway lines in Suide Station is solved well with this layout scheme , such as exchanging traffic flows from Taiyuan to Baotou direction and from Zhongwei to Xi an. At the same time, the design is more standardized by adopting this scheme.

75 Exploration on the application of Soil-geothermal Pump Technology in Station Buildings of Passenger Dedicated Railway

Research purposes : The heat exchange capacity of underground pipeline is determined through doing the site tests, the temperature rising status of soil in future is simulated according to the temperature change of soil and simultaneously the analysis of simulated results of annual energy consumption is made for the purpose of presenting the measures for how to realize the soil heat balance.
Research conclusions: When the gap between the local buried pipelines exceeds a certain distance, their heat transfer influence can be neglected. The unbalance of cold and heat load can be reduced by properly modifying the indoor design parameters of air-conditoning and heating system and the index of heating performance of building. The design principle of keeping soil heat balance is to make the heat extraction equal to heat supply volume.

Research purposes: The characteristics of large railway station large has much influence on lighting and lighting design, especially it is very difficult to design the lighting for large space, so it is necessary to do research on it for the purpose of seeking the solution for lighting large railway station building.
Research conclusions: For the large railway station building, many lighting methods should be adopted such as direct lighting, indirect lighting, reflector and oriented ray tube system At the same time, the concrete characteristics of large space, lighting efficiency and energy saving of lighting should be considered.

Research results: The difficult and key points and monitoring requirements are presented for treating the track distortion and the proposals of installing adjustable iron bracket, lowering the tie elevation and laying integral roadbed are made. The analytic research is done on what construction technique and new materials should be adopted for the integral roadbed.

Research purposes: The introduction is given in this paper to the design of inspection and repair line for wheel-sets on linear motor vehicle major repair base, the study is done on the design of inspection and repair line for wheel-sets of linear motor vehicle, and the new thoughts about flexible and informationalized design of inspection and repair line for wheel-sets are presented.
Research conclusions: The un-wheeling repair and heavy repair of wheel-sets of linear motor vehicle will be done on two production lines separately and the flexible and information design of inspection and repair line for wheel-sets is adopted to meet the requirement of other vehicles for heavy repair of wheel-sets.

94 Study on the Grounding for Lightening Protection for Metro Station

Research purposes : The study is done on the actual application of grounding for lightening protection for metro station for the purpose of providing safe and comfortable environment for passenger&staffs.
Research results:The steel bar couple with manual grounding network in overhead waiting hall and application of SPD for power supply device provide good ways for over-voltage protection and current-release. The integration of equipotential coupling, natural grounding body, manual grounding network and surge protection device(SPD ) can be used for grounding for lightening protection far metro station.

98 Design of World Window Station of Shenzhen Metro

Research purposes: World Window Station on Line 1 of Shenzhen Metro is a large-sized metro terminal station, in which metro, buses, underground stores, underground commerce square, coach switchback, passenger transfer for metro assemble together. The bus station here is the first largest underground bus station connecting with metro station in China,which realizes the seamless-change between metro and bus. The introduction is given in this paper to design of the station.
Research conclusions: The station reflects the positive and unique thoughts on architecture design structure design, ventilating and air conditioning design, power and illumination design, water supply and sewerage design and fire extinguishing design etc. and also it shows the advanced , reasonable , economical, energy saving, environmental protection and putting people first's design idea, which can provide the reference to similar design.
